ONE OF THE MORE ASTONISHING PASSAGES IN THE BIBLE
The Book of Daniel was translated into Greek prior to 270 b.c., several centuries before Christ was born. It is actually one of
the most authenticated books of the Old Testament, historically and archaeologically.
The Angel Gabriel interrupted Daniel's prayer and gave him a four-verse prophecy that is unquestionably one of the most remarkable passage in the entire Bible: Daniel 9:24-27. Gabriel told Daniel that the interval between the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem until the presentation of the Messiah as King would be 173,880 days.
Verse 25 includes a mathematical prophecy. The Jewish and Babylonian calendars of that day were based on a 360-day year. Each day of the 69 weeks represent 1 year in Daniel's prophecy so you have 483 years x 360 days which gives you 173,880 days.
Jesus fulfilled the 69th week of Daniel's prophecy of 70 weeks on April 6, 32 a.d. The 70th week of Daniel's prophecy is often referred to as the 7-year Tribulation period prior to Jesus Christ's Second Coming in which every eye shall see him.
~ Revelation 1:7
The commandment to restore and build Jerusalem was given by Artaxerxes Longimanus on March 14, 445 b.c. and the only occasion that Jesus presented Himself as King occurred on April 6, 32 a.d. When we examine the period between March 14, 445 b.c. and April 6, 32 a.d., and correct for leap years, we discover that it is 173,880 days exactly, to the very day!
